Retail has been the red thread in my career. My strength lies in the ability to connect and motivate people at all levels. I have proven myself as an entrepreneur, I have successfully set up and sold an executive search company specialized in lawyers. I have brought this entrepreneurial experience back into my retail career where I constantly try to communicate at all levels within different international teams of a broad portfolio of companies within different countries.
Due to my military back-ground I have learned to operate under pressure and come up with sound and understandable analyses. In close cooperation with the assigned team members I deliver results within the set timeframe.
Thanks to my legal education I am able to understand contractual implications and negotiate towards the desired end state.
I have been working intensively for different clients in Germany with key focus areas Real Estate and General Management. Countries in which I have had work or project related experience are apart from Germany, the Benelux, Austria, the Nordics, the UK and the US and Mexico.
I have been actively involved in setting up an international franchise platform in Holland, Scandinavia and countries/regions outside of Europe such as the Far East.
I currently work as an interim manager for PE owned retail companies who seek assistance with their expansion wishes and capex management. I serve as an advisor to some boards where I use my operational retail back round to help set the right focus on key operational topics. I am fluent in English, and German and sufficient in French.

If there are expansion wishes I do day tours in Germany, come up with a short list of cities and make introductions to people that matter in the Real Estate markets.
Apart from Germany I can advice on strategic decissions you need to make in almost all other European cities including the Nordics.
